Zent Productions is a highly sought after Creative Production Company based in Sydney, Australia. They bring brands and products to life by creating visual and physical spaces. Director and creative force behind the company Alex Zehntner has over 25 years of international experience in the creative and design industries. His hands on approach to each project makes Zent Productions renowned for creating bespoke solutions tailored to each client’s individual needs.

DESIGN

After excelling studying fashion design at both East Sydney National Arts School and at Central St. Martin’s in London, Alex worked as a fashion designer for 6 years designing trend lead pieces and developing contemporary ranges for major Australian brands including Status Symbol, Tarocash, Myers, David Jones and Sportsgirl. He is often called upon to consult within the industry, helping emerging brands to edit their collections and produce fashion shows. His unique designs and styling feature in music videos, fashion magazines, at high profile events and media opportunities. Alex is currently completing an MA in Design at COFA to extend his design education.

PRODUCT STYLING & SET DESIGN

The detail and flair that Alex exhibits in his fashion and styling portfolio naturally lead him into product styling and set design. His eye for product presentation has made him an essential part of photo shoots for numerous advertising and media campaigns. From the positioning of individual products in front of the camera to dressing an entire background set for a celebrity profile shoot, Alex is able to create a visual style suited perfectly to the brief.

TV ART DIRECTION

Alex has Art Directed television shows since 2005 and has over 9 years of strong experience in the industry. He has been the creative eye on 15 shows, including Australian Princess season 1 & 2, Beauty and the Geek season 3 and Australia's Next Top Model seasons 2 through to 9. Over his career, he has worked on programs for all the major Australian Networks (7, 9, 10, ABC & SBS) and has been engaged by some of Australia's most dynamic production companies. Alex specialises in Reality, Lifestyle and Light Entertainment format shows.

MENTORING

Alex passes on his understanding and experience of the Fashion Industry and creative process to students at the Design Studio, Ultimo. He is a Senior Lecturer, teaching Fashion History, Creative Fashion Design, Adaptation, and Range Development. He has mentored and nurtured the talent of some of Australia’s top up and coming designers including Dion Lee, Karla Spetic, Michael Lo Sordo and Dylan Cooper, to name but a few.
